I woke just after 2:00 in the morning, pondering my next step. And I realized my dream job would simply be for Mayor-elect Dwight Jones to invite me to work for the City of Richmond helping his leadership team craft their vision for the city and region, and providing them with the developmental tools and leadership competencies to deliver that vision. For kicks, I'd be asked to facilitate workshops open to all city employees that mirrored the learning taking place at the top.
They'd also let me keep blogging.
Jon Baliles had to limit his blogging to topics irrelevant to his insider City Hall status.
That job description is a possibility. Start monitoring the City HR listings in January. The whole second floor staff is probably going to be replaced. The beheadings have already begun.
