I'll be in a meeting at the Ellwood-Thompson's swank coffee joint from 9:00 until 11:00 in the morning on my birthday, so feel free to plan my balloon surprise in advance. Since it's Ellwood-Thompson's, you might want to consider environmentally sensitive balloons made of papyrus or plankton.

Hanging out on the Unemployment Line

It's been almost four weeks since I found myself making history -- as one of more than half a million Americans browsing the classified section restlessly every single morning of the week. Fortunately, it only took nine days of being unemployed and two interviews with well-known local corporations to convince me to start my own business.
